My Therapeutic Approach

At Growth Oasis, I offer a humanistic and integrative approach rooted in presence, compassion, and deep respect for your lived experience. This space is designed to support you as you explore your inner world—your emotions, needs, and the complex layers that shape who you are.

My work is grounded in a holistic and strengths-based perspective, drawing from modalities such as Gestalt, ACT, Schema Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and mindfulness-based practices. Whether you are navigating current challenges, processing past experiences, or moving through life transitions, our work together focuses on building insight, resilience, and self-trust.

I aim to support you in reconnecting with your internal resources while also developing practical tools that meet your unique needs—helping you move forward with clarity, confidence, and care.

Please note: As a private practice, sessions are not eligible for public health rebates.

Why I Work With Expats

Living abroad can expand you — and stretch you thin.
As an expat, you’re navigating more than logistics: you’re navigating identity, belonging, and emotional recalibration.

My own lived experience and work with international clients have shown me how deeply important it is to have a therapeutic space where you don’t have to explain your background, your English, or your emotional layers.
Many of my clients are navigating:

  • Emotional isolation in a new country

  • Cross-cultural relationship dynamics

  • Parenting away from extended family

  • Career shifts, burnout, or loss of direction

  • Deep questions around “Who am I now?”

Working with expats is not just a niche – it’s a personal and professional commitment to creating meaningful, context-aware support.

Ready to take the next step?

Why choose an English-speaking therapist in Copenhagen?”

Living abroad can be enriching – but also emotionally complex. You may be dealing with feelings of isolation, identity shifts, or stress from adjusting to a new culture. Speaking in your native (or most comfortable) language allows for deeper emotional expression and understanding. As an English-speaking therapist familiar with expat challenges, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to explore whatever’s on your mind.

How I Can Help

People often come to therapy when they're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about how to move forward.
You don’t need to have it all figured out — you just need a safe space to begin.

Here are some of the experiences I commonly work with:

✅ Anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm
✅ Cultural transitions and identity shifts
✅ Relationship challenges and disconnection
✅ Emotional burnout and numbness
✅ Harsh inner critics or unresolved trauma
✅ Grief, loss, or a general sense of “something’s not right”

Why Therapy?

Therapy is not about fixing you.
It’s about supporting the parts of you that are tired of holding it all together.

At Growth Oasis, you’ll find a space of warmth, clarity, and presence —
a space to pause, to breathe, and to return to yourself.

"I thought about going to a psychotherapist for a long time because I often experienced mood swings. It wasn’t until I had my first panic attack that I finally reached out to a therapist. She helped me change my mindset, face life situations with stoicism, worry less, and love myself more! The only thing I can say I 'regret' is not reaching out to her sooner, because mental health needs to be nurtured just like everything else."

When Should You Seek Support?

Therapy isn’t just for when things fall apart. It’s also a space for growth, clarity, and deeper connection – with yourself and others.

People come to therapy for many reasons. You might recognize yourself in some of the following experiences:

  • Persistent stress, anxiety, or low mood

  • Challenges in your relationships

  • Feeling overwhelmed or stuck

  • Difficulty adjusting to life abroad

  • Grieving a loss or major change

  • Patterns that repeat, despite your efforts to change

  • Disconnection from yourself or others

  • Burnout, work-related stress, or lack of purpose

  • Exploring identity, gender, or sexuality

  • Desire for personal growth and emotional resilience

Whatever brings you here, therapy can offer a supportive and structured space to make sense of things and move forward.
